Ponctual Diffuser
equipped with manual valve
Presentation
- Ceramic oxygen diffuser protected by a stainless steel support to be inserted directly through plug hole or cap of vat.
- Flexible polyurethane transfer tube to reach containers with ease.
- Blow-off valve, enabling an immediate interruption of the transfer when closing
Advantage
- Easiest means to supply oxygen to fermentation yeasts (less risk of overflow than pumping with aeration methods)
- Complement to Micro-oxygenation wich can be used in tanks or barrels (modifies the wine's reducing power linked to controlled oxydation).
- Usefull tool for lees management in barrels. Saves labour and decreases wine losses.
- Carbon dioxide injection for recarbonation.
- Nitrogen injection for carbon dioxyde reduction.
About Ponctual Diffuser
- Occasional use - Test of the technique - Small wineries
- For vats and barrels, suplies a large amount of oxygen in a few moments (rather like pumping with aeration method)
- Precise flow-rate
- The concepts of racking and oxygenation are differentiated
- Just enough oxygen at just the right time
- The simplest, most economical cliqueur
Tecnical Characteristics
- Diffuser dimensions :H : 15.5 cm Ø 3,5 cm
- Diffuser : technical ceramic with stainless steel support
- Distance from oxygen cylinder to vat or barrel : 0 to 100 m
- Transfer tube : polyurethane tube Ø 4 x 6 mm (25 m supplied)
- Accessories : Ceramic maintenance kit (washer), various connections, user manual
- Vat adaptation : none - passage by vat cap possible on plug
Accessories
- Oxygen regulator 0-16 bar (one regulator per winery is necessary; it is not included in the price of the cliqueur)
- Plug with overflow system (no relief necessary in barrels)
- Décarboniqueur : Adapter for use of T diffuser in line (optimized transfer by injecting in line before pump with large pipe length.)
Transfert
- Flow control depends on pressure by calibrated orifice.
- In barrels : pressure 1 bar - flow-rate 6 L / min - 30 seconds -> approx. 2 mg / L at 15°C
- In vat : pressure 3 bar - flow-rate 15 L / min - 1 min for 30 hl -> approx. 2 mg / L at 15°C
